A healthy lifestyle
(Dr.
Robert Axelrad, 2013)
It is difficult to have a healthy
lifestyle, if you are surrounded by people who love their food.
Oily food fatty food might seem as an
option when you still young, but think about the future.
When you are in your early 20s and you want
a sexy bikini body but all the oily food never gave you a chance.
People should start to consider how they
would like to look in 5-6 years down the line
Eating healthy food does not stop you from
any delicious meals; you cans still have your delicious foods that are healthy
and not oily.
Eat your vegetables; drink a lot of water
and most important exercise regularly.
Here are my healthy food alphabets:

Porridge and green tea
I always enjoy my breakfast with Brown porridge, and a cup of green tea and a slice of lemon. I actually find brown porridge healthy and appropriate to eat if you are trying to lose some weight. My cup of green tea is a recommendation I got from a friend to use, if I want to lose weight and the lemon is to just add some taste to the green tea because it does not taste that nice. You can also buy your brown maize meal at any grocery store.
I bought the slim tea
at pick ‘n pay. It’s easy to make.

Banana Bread
Eloise,2014
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Cook time: 1 hour
- Yield: Makes one loaf.
No need for a mixer for this recipe! Clean-up is easy too, if you want, you can mix everything in one bowl.
The best bananas to use for banana bread are those that are over-ripe. The yellow peels should be at least half browned, and the bananas inside squishy and browning.
Ingredients
- 2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup of sugar (can easily use 3/4 cup, or drop it down to 1/2 cup if you want it less sweet)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the flour.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes (check at 50 minutes) at 350°F (175°C), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and cool completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan. Slice and serve. (A bread knife helps to make slices that aren't crumbly.)

TASH'S
One the 22nd of June I went to celebrate a friend's birthday celebration. My friends recommended we go to a restaurant called Tash's. I really did not know the way their food taste or even how the restaurant looks. I went onto the Internet and did some research on the restaurant to find out the kind of food they sold at their store. http://www.tashascafe.com/.
The only places I know I can get Tash's in Gauteng is Brooklyn and Rosebank. I really enjoyed the food. They have sandwiches, salads, meat, sushi and alcohol.
I would recommend Tash's for dates with friends or your partner.
Here is the website menu for Tash's Melrose Arch

Bellagio's new location (with the added bonus of secure parking right outside the door) is proving to be very popular judging by the full tables for both lunch and evening trade. The interior comprises two inter leading seating areas - one houses the well stocked bar with its fine selection of local as well as imported wines, and the other the sushi counter. There is a wrap around outside area with plenty of umbrellas to ensure shady seating for alfresco dining throughout the day.
The eye catching blue and white striped theme is visible throughout from the cushions and blinds to the chic restroom walls, and even the waiters are smartly attired in crisp blue and white striped shirts. The overall impression is that the decor seamlessly blends with the wooden floors, rattan chairs and colorful paintings to complete the Mediterranean feel, and that little extra touch is provided by the fresh roses on each table.
Recommendations on the starter menu include the salmon tartare, crab capalini and the popular seared tuna with ceviche dressing. For main course you can't go wrong with seared salmon with asparagus and salsa Verdi, the seafood risotto or the Sicilian style sirloin with capers, anchovies and olives. If you still have room for dessert try the chocolate praline or the honeycomb ice cream! |
